The Los Angeles Sparks were founded in 1997 and play in the Western Conference. They won three back-to-back Conference Titles from 2001-2003 and then won the finals in 2001 and 2002. The Sparks play at the Staples Center, which was built in 1999 and has a capacity of 19,000 people. They share the arena with the Lakers, Clippers and NHL’s Kings.
