The New Jersey Devils were founded in 1974 as the Kansas City Scouts. In 1976, they moved to Colorado and became the Rockies. It was not until 1982 that they moved to Newark and became the Devils. The Devils currently share the Prudential Center with the NBA’s Nets. The Arena was opened in 2007 and holds over 18,000 people.
