The Golden State Warriors were originally based in Philadelphia when founded in 1946. After playing in San Francisco from 1962 until 1971 they moved to the other side of the bay and establish themselves in Oakland. The Warriors now play at Oracle Arena, where the University of California Bears also play. The Oracle Arena was built between 1964 and 1966 but was then renovated in the 90’s.
